Intuition Painting® – FAQ
❓What is Intuition Painting®?
Intuition Painting® is a non-directive, process-based painting practice that invites you to follow your intuitive impulses moment by moment—without planning, analyzing, or trying to make “good” art.
It is not therapy. It is not fine art. It is not performance.
Instead, it’s a structured six-phase journey of creative discovery and emotional expression, guided by your inner knowing and facilitated by trained process guides. The practice helps you connect with yourself through color, movement, energy, and honest, uncensored creative expression.
Whether you are healing, awakening, unblocking, or simply curious—Intuition Painting® offers a profound, safe, and transformative space to meet yourself in a new way.
❓Is Intuition Painting® a form of art therapy?
No. Intuition Painting® is not a therapeutic modality and does not involve psychological diagnosis, treatment, or analysis.
While art therapy is led by licensed therapists and often includes clinical goals, Intuition Painting® is facilitated by trained coaches who guide a non-directive, creative process. The facilitator does not interpret your painting or give advice. Instead, they help you stay connected to your intuition and navigate resistance or emotion as it arises—trusting that the meaning lives within you and will emerge in its own time.
Both art therapy and Intuition Painting® can be deeply healing—but they serve different intentions and frameworks.
❓Do I need art experience to do Intuition Painting®?
Absolutely not.
You don’t need any art skills, talent, or training. You don’t need to know how to draw. You don’t need to have any creative background.
In fact, letting go of the pressure to be “good at art” is part of what makes this work so freeing.
Intuition Painting® invites you to return to the innocence and truth of expression—without critique, comparison, or control. The only requirement is your willingness to be honest, curious, and present.
❓What happens in a typical Intuition Painting® session?
Each session follows the six-phase arc of the Intuition Painting® process:
Center – Arrive in the space and come into presence
Let Go – Release expectations and resistance
Connect – Follow the intuitive thread, brushstroke by brushstroke
Reveal – Witness the images, energies, or emotions that arise
Transform – Engage the painting to reflect inner alignment
Embody – Integrate the experience physically and emotionally
Sessions can happen in groups or one-on-one, online or in person, and may include ritual, journaling, or coaching dialogue—but always center around the painting process itself.
The emphasis is on personal truth and lived experience, not aesthetics or external outcome.
❓What makes Intuition Painting® different from a regular art class?
In a traditional art class, the goal is to build skills, learn techniques, and create a product that meets aesthetic or technical standards.
In Intuition Painting®, the goal is not the painting—it’s the process.
There is no instruction on how to paint “well.”
There is no right or wrong way to do it.
There is no judgment or feedback from others.
Instead, you are guided to follow your inner impulses moment by moment, learning to trust what wants to be expressed—even if it feels messy, uncomfortable, or strange. It’s about inner connection, not external perfection.
❓What’s the goal of Intuition Painting®?
The goal of Intuition Painting® is not to make art, but to make contact—with yourself.
This process offers a structured-yet-open pathway into your own creative intelligence, emotional truth, and inner knowing. It is designed to bypass judgment, expectation, and performance, allowing you to experience the profound freedom of expressing exactly what wants to be expressed—as it arises.
Through the six-phase process, Intuition Painting® invites you to:
Release creative blocks that may have formed from perfectionism, trauma, or self-doubt
Engage resistance as a meaningful part of your journey—not something to avoid, but something to move with
Awaken intuitive flow by listening deeply to the subtle guidance that emerges as you paint
Discover personal insight and meaning through imagery that comes directly from your unconscious—not as metaphor, but as revelation
Transform your relationship to creativity from something external or performative into something innate, sovereign, and alive
Experience healing, empowerment, and emotional clarity through nonverbal exploration—often uncovering things that words cannot reach
At its core, Intuition Painting® is a transformational process where painting becomes a mirror, a ritual, and a creative reclamation of self.
It’s not about being good. It’s about being real.
It’s not about the painting. It’s about what painting opens up inside of you.
